Cute Gay Boys Tie The Knot
In this case, we’re talking about Sebastian Alexis Dungan and Lavi Sholem Soloway, whom the New York Times has graced with a spot in their Vows section, the Oscars of wedding announcements. The story is pretty touching. Says the Times:
Mr. Dungan, 37, is an independent film producer in Los Angeles. He produced “Transamerica,” which was released in 2005. He graduated from Yale.
Mr. Soloway, 43, is a partner in the law firm Masliah & Soloway in New York. He works there and in Los Angeles. He is also a founder of Immigration Equality, a nonprofit advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and H.I.V.-positive immigrants.
The couple met online in August 2007. Mr. Soloway had posted a photograph of himself holding Lily, his 3-month-old daughter, he said, thinking that “It would weed out people who are not interested in parenting.”
Mr. Dungan saw the picture and was intrigued. “I was impressed that he’d had the courage to be a single dad, which was something I was contemplating,” he said. “Plus, he was really cute.”
Mr. Dungan sent an e-mail message, congratulating Mr. Soloway on becoming a father.
A lively e-mail correspondence became long nightly telephone calls. Then a few weeks later, Mr. Dungan came to New York on business and the two met for coffee.
Mr. Soloway brought Lily, who was in a stroller.
They spent a couple of hours walking around NoHo, where Mr. Dungan stopped to buy a blazer, which Mr. Soloway thought was strange on a first date — although, he admitted, perhaps not as strange as bringing a baby to a first date.
On the plane back to Los Angeles, Mr. Dungan said, “I realized that I missed him already.”

Lutheran Boys Party in the USA, Play Gay
Miley Cyrus’s Party in the USA gets on my nerves. Big time. But it seems that some students at Midland Lutheran College in Nebraska loved a rendition of the song by a group of Fire Island gays so much, they did their own version. So, these are straight Lutherans?

Queerty’s a little obsessed with Matthew Bomer, star of USA’s White Collar. First they ran a long post about whether he was out or not — complete with photos of him making out with ex-boyfriend Mike White. Their analysis:
We can understand the position Bomer is in: He’s been openly gay for much of his career, at least inside the industry, but now he’s headlining a nearly-guaranteed-to-be-blockbuster series on USA, in a role that requires (female) viewers to lust after him. We won’t jump to conclusions, but if history is any indicator, USA’s executives (and those at parent NBC Universal) won’t be too thrilled with Bomer’s sexuality making headlines.

The folks over at The Sword are very concerned about this question. Now, I’m not one of the many people who think he’s totally hot, but I’m pandering to them with this post. So…
First, Shia tells Playboy he’s not that well-endowed:
Getting naked was very strange. It was the first time I’d been naked in the light, in front of a girl, with no hiding place. I remember putting a pillow underneath her because I had seen that in a porn movie. It put her at a weird angle, where I couldn’t get in correctly. I’m not extremely well-endowed … and clearly this wasn’t the move.

Quickclick: GLAAD Says Gay TV Characters on Rise
GLAAD’s 14th annual TV study is out, and it says that 18 LGBT characters will account for 3% of primetime scripted series regulars in the 2009-2010 season. Doesn’t sound like so much? It compares to 1.3% in 2006, 1.1% in 2007 and 2.6% in 2008.
Entertainment Weekly says “new LGBT characters include bisexual Ella on Melrose Place, Southland’s gay police officer John Cooper, Modern Family’s gay couple Mitchell and Cameron, and coming-out high schooler Kurt on Glee.”
